Get You Some Sunlight!

This past weekend I woke up with the sun hitting me in my face. I looked outside to see what type of day it was going to be, and the feeling of the warm sun hitting me made me happy.

This happiness was a little overdue, because I had been secluding myself in my house and at work. The sun hitting my body, made me decide that I wanted to be active that day. I wanted to get out and do something!

I did a quick search via Google to see if sunlight really makes you happier. Other than my personal experience, I wanted to know if there was some sort of study, false or true, to prove this.

Google ended up leading me to a website that said sunlight increases serotonin levels. These increased levels release the feeling of euphoria and happiness. I am not going to go into deep detail how neurotransmitters work, but all you need to know is that sunlight makes a happy person.

I was going to end this post with saying make sure you get you some sunlight everyday, but that would be lame. Just make sure you find something that makes you happy, and enjoy it from time to time. Enjoying the sunlight might just be a start.
